Four Rivers Wildlife: Hunting for the Hungry
During 2019, Kentucky Hunters for the Hungry collected over 85,000 pounds of venison from 2100 deer, producing 343,000 meals for Murray’s Need Line and other food banks and organizations like Dare to Care, Feeding Kentucky, and the Department of Agriculture’s Hunger Initiative. That isn’t enough to solve Kentucky’s hunger problem, but it is a tremendous start in the right direction. (more…)
Elder Refugees In Kentucky At Risk for Hunger

Pandemic Destroys Decade of Progress Ending Food Insecurity
FRANKFORT, Ky. — In a few months, the COVID-19 pandemic has destroyed a decade of progress in the fight to end hunger in Kentucky, according to data from the group Feeding America.
