Report: More Kentucky Children Get Free Summer Meals
FRANKFORT, Ky. – More children in Kentucky are getting their breakfast and lunch through federally funded summer nutrition programs, according to a report released today by the Food Research and Action Center.
The state has expanded the sites where children can get free summer meals beyond schools – to libraries, YMCAs, churches, and parks – to nearly 2,000 locations. That’s one reason the number of meals served last summer jumped by more than 15% from 2017.

Farm to Food Bank Program Provides Much Needed Produce
FRANKFORT, Ky- The status of Kentucky’s farm to food banks program was a topic of a committee Wednesday.
The Tobacco Settlement Agreement Fund Oversight Committee heard from Feeding Kentucky on the statistics surrounding food insecurity in Kentucky and how the program brings farm-fresh produce directly to those in need.
SUMMER FEEDING PROGRAM FOR KIDS
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) — A federal program to help no kid go hungry in the summer kicked off in Kentucky Monday.
