We can’t feed them all: House Bill 367 would overwhelm food banks, hurt hungry Kentuckians
By getting involved with Feeding Kentucky — the organization supporting Kentucky’s seven Feeding America member food banks — you can make a tangible impact in the lives of Kentuckians facing food insecurity.. You can find ways to volunteer, make a monetary donation, or even work with our Farms to Food Banks program to donate Kentucky-grown agriculture products and provide our neighbors with fresh, nutritious food.
Frankfort Country Club to host Serving Up Solutions dinner
Tickets for the sixth-annual Serving Up Solutions dinner are now on sale. Proceeds from the dinner, which started as a fundraiser for agencies across the state who provide resources for those who are food insecure, benefits Feeding Kentucky, Kentucky Hunters for the Hungry (KHFH), and Glean Kentucky. Food Research & Action Center and USDA Announce $1.1 Million in Grants to Increase Equitable Access to Healthy Meals for Children During School, After School, Child Care, and Summer
WASHINGTON, Dec. 5, 2023 — The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Food Research & Action Center (FRAC) have teamed up to competitively award five organizations a total of $1.1 million to research barriers to equitable access in the federal child nutrition programs and identify strategies to eliminate them. The effort is funded by USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service through a cooperative agreement with FRAC.
