LFPA Program Overview
The Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) Cooperative Agreement Program enhances food security and supports local agricultural economies by partnering with local farmers to supply fresh, nutritious food to communities in need.
Feeding Kentucky administers a track of the LFPA program through funding from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, which received support from the USDA to strengthen local food systems. The program runs through August 15, 2025. At this time, we are not recruiting new producers and are only working with those who have a current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on file with us.
Current participants should continue sharing product availability and coordinating deliveries directly with Feeding Kentucky. We remain dedicated to honoring all outstanding agreements through the end of the program.
