What is the Kentucky Hunger Hero?
It is now more important than ever that we ensure none of our Kentucky neighbors go hungry. Schools and community members are working hard to ensure kids still have access to healthy meals while school is out of session; while community organizations are going the extra mile to provide meal access to our neighbors across the state of Kentucky.
The Kentucky Hunger Hero celebrates and highlights these individuals who are going above and beyond to ensure all Kentuckians get the nutritious meals they need to thrive!
Who can be nominated?
Is there a local Hunger Hero in your community you’d like to recognize for their tireless work to ensure no individual goes hungry during this uncertain time? Hunger Heroes can be school nutrition staff, teachers, principals, school bus drivers, community members, parents, or others – the list goes on!
How to recognize a Kentucky Hunger Hero
We want to hear about your local hunger hero today! This can be done by simply filling out the Nominate a Hunger Hero form.
How does it work?
From May 6th, 2020 through August 31st, 2020, anyone can recognize “Kentucky Hunger Heroes” across the Commonwealth.
